"The John 'Chuck' Erreca Safety Roadside Rest Area, after its $34 million renovation, will serve as a model for new Caltrans California highway rest stops, featuring eco-conscious systems and high-albedo concrete."
"We have experienced some construction delays with the rest area concrete and are working with the contractor to remedy the issues before reopening the rest area to the public," said Caltrans spokesperson Brian Hooker.
"After the John Erreca Rest Area reopens, it will serve as an example of how the state's rest stops can adapt with sustainable technology," Hooker explained.
"Every element - from the architecture to the eco-conscious systems - embodies a commitment to respectful, forward-thinking design," emphasized Hooker regarding the new rest area.
