
"Shoplifting: An employee at Safeway in the Argonaut Center on Saratoga-Sunnyvale Road reported the suspect entered the store about three months prior and stole merchandise valued at approximately $131. Jan. 13 Attempted residential burglary: At 11:45 a.m., two suspects broke a window and attempted to gain access to a residence in the 20000 block of Miljevich Drive but fled the scene when they saw the victim in the home."
"Jan. 14 Reckless evading: At 1:52 a.m., deputies responded to an automated license plate reader notification for a stolen license plate at Saratoga Avenue and Highway 85. An investigation revealed the plate was stolen from a vehicle in San Jose and was still outstanding. Deputies located and attempted to stop the vehicle a short time later, but the driver did not yield and recklessly evaded, and the pursuit was ultimately terminated in the interest of public safety."
"Jan. 15 Auto theft: Between 5 p.m. on Jan. 14 and 6 a.m. on Jan. 15, someone stole a vehicle from the driveway of a residence in the 13000 block of Beaumont Avenue for a loss valued at approximately $10,000. Jan. 16 Vandalism: Between 1 p.m. on Jan. 15 and 10 a.m. on Jan. 16, someone pried open nine mailboxes in a bank of mailboxes for residences in the 15000 block of Madrone Hill Road. The total amount of damage was estimated at approximately $250."

On Jan. 14 deputies located a vehicle tied to a stolen license plate; the driver evaded and the pursuit was terminated. Between Jan. 14–15 a vehicle was stolen from Beaumont Avenue, valued at about $10,000. Between Jan. 15–16 nine Madrone Hill Road mailboxes were pried open, causing about $250 damage. On Jan. 18 deputies arrested a motorist for DUI after an injury collision at Prospect Road and Lawrence Expressway.
