Three people were killed in a triple shooting just after midnight in the 200 block of Chynoweth Avenue in South San Jose. Responding officers found a gravely wounded woman outdoors and two more seriously wounded people, a man and a woman, inside an apartment. The woman inside was pronounced dead at the scene and the other two died after being taken to a hospital. One victim worked in the city's housing division and counselors have been made available to colleagues. Detectives are pursuing leads and no suspect has been announced, raising the city's homicide total to 21.
