
"SAN JOSE A man died after he crashed a stolen car into a cement wall Sunday in San Jose, police said. Officers in marked police vehicles initially tried to stop the car described as a gray 2013 Infiniti EX37 just before 3 a.m. at Winchester Boulevard and Moorpark Avenue, San Jose police Officer Tanya Hernandez said in a news release. Hernandez said the driver sped away eastbound on Moorpark Avenue, but officers did not chase after him."
"Shortly after passing the intersection with Monroe Street, the driver lost control and crashed into a cement wall beneath the Highway 17 overpass, Hernandez said. Hernandez said officers saw the collision from a distance and provided aid to the driver, but he died at the scene. The Santa Clara County Medical Examiner-Coroner's Office will release his identity after it is confirmed and his next of kin is notified."

Officers observed the collision from a distance and provided aid, but the driver died at the scene. The Santa Clara County Medical Examiner-Coroner's Office will release the driver's identity after confirmation and next-of-kin notification.
