"SAN JOSE A car fire that ignited a carport and then spread to two flanking apartment buildings displaced 10 residents in West San Jose on Thursday night, according to the San Jose Fire Department. The three-alarm blaze was reported at 11:03 p.m. and involved apartment buildings that line the northeast corner of Del Mar Avenue and Marlboro Court, the fire department said."
"Officials said a car fire spread to two other vehicles and then a carport located between two nine-unit apartment buildings. The fire was knocked down within an hour, and no injuries were reported. The fire destroyed a unit in the apartment building facing Marlboro Court, and a unit in the building facing Del Mar Avenue had significant fire damage, according to SJFD."

The Del Mar Avenue building was declared uninhabitable. A cause remains under investigation.
