
"PLEASANTON - A 56-year-old pedestrian was killed in a traffic collision Tuesday night, authorities said. The fatal collision happened about 6:41 p.m. Tuesday at the intersection of Main and Neal streets. The woman was treated at the scene by police and paramedics before being taken to a hospital where she was pronounced deceased. She was identified by the coroner's bureau Wednesday as Rowena Coronel, of Pleasanton."
"Police said the driver of the vehicle that hit her remained at the scene and is cooperating with investigators. Police said impairment does not seem to be a factor in the collision. No other details were released. Main Street was closed between Division Street and W Angela Street for several hours while police investigated. The cause of the collision remains under investigation, police said. Anyone who may have witnessed what happened or has additional information is asked to contact police at 925-931-5100."
