The California Highway Patrol and the Shasta County Sheriff's Office say Monte Satran, 80, was last seen about 8:15 p.m. along Frances and First streets in Cottonwood, a community 15 miles south of Redding along Interstate 5.
Officials issued the Silver Alert for Shasta, Glenn, Colusa and Yolo counties just before 2 a.m. Friday. Shasta sheriff's officials say Satran is considered 'at-risk,' though the circumstances of why were not known.
