Larkin concluded nine years as city attorney, stating, "This has been for sure the most rewarding nine years of my career: being a part of a really fantastic community with co-workers who really care deeply about their work."
Larkin, 57, emphasized his significant challenge during his tenure as managing the city's growth while preserving Morgan Hill's character, saying, "I'm not ready to stop working, it's just a good time to move on to the next chapter."
Mayor Mark Turner described Larkin's retirement as bittersweet, expressing gratitude for his unmatched wisdom, integrity, and dedication during their working relationship over the past three years.
Larkin plans to continue providing legal services to the city on a part-time basis until a replacement is found, maintaining a connection with Morgan Hill.
