The group, aboard the Condor Express, witnessed an extraordinary event when they spotted a 16-foot adult white shark feeding on a dead elephant seal.
Capt. Dave Beezer noted a predator's involvement when he found the carcass of the elephant seal, which had its head missing, indicating it could have been the work of a shark.
Robert Perry, the onboard photographer, described the experience as 'completely mind-blowing,' calling it a 'rare opportunity' and 'the shot of a lifetime'.
The northeastern Pacific white shark population is increasing and is not endangered in U.S. waters, according to the National Oceanic and Atmospheric Administration.
