Romero, 28, has been charged with one count of burglary and one count of indecent exposure and illegal entry after the incident in a Santa Monica apartment.
Romero was on parole for a weapons violation in San Bernardino County, and he had prior arrests for shoplifting and public intoxication, among other offenses, according to Santa Monica Police Lt. Erika Aklufi.
