Horse running on busy freeway killed, creating gridlock near City of Industry

A horse was hit by 'a sedan and a semi truck,' according to Hendricks.

Caltrans used a loader and a dump truck to clear the horse from the carpool lane.

As late as 10 p.m., the dead horse was left uncovered on the carpool lane on the 605.

Eventually, Caltrans employees arrived 'with a bulldozer to lift the horse up onto the truck' and clear it from the scene.
