"District NoHo will be a transformative project for this city," City Council President Paul Krekorian said in a statement.
Metro has made the ambitious commitment to build 10,000 housing units in Los Angeles County by 2031, "with the goal of contributing to solving Southern California's housing crisis," the agency said in a news release in July.
