Police arrested 37-year-old Clarence Turhan Simpson III and a 15-year-old boy for attempting to burglarize a business at Corte Madera mall. Early Friday morning, officers found a running sedan in a fire lane and spotted the masked suspects nearby. One suspect fled but was detained along with the other. Surveillance footage linked them to the attempted break-in. Both were found in a stolen vehicle containing loaded handguns. Simpson was booked with a $25,000 bail and charged with multiple offenses. The juvenile was booked on similar charges and taken to Juvenile Hall.

Clarence Turhan Simpson III, 37, was booked in the Marin County Jail with bail set at $25,000. He was charged with attempted burglary, possessing a stolen vehicle and resisting police.
The other suspect, who is 15, was booked into Marin County Juvenile Hall on suspicion of attempted burglary, conspiracy and wearing a mask while committing a crime.
