Reservoirs in the area are at or above historic average levels due to recent heavy rains, demonstrating an overall abundance of water availability.
The military did not enter California. The federal government restarted federal water pumps after they were offline for maintenance for three days.
Experts say no valve exists that routes water from the Pacific Northwest into California, nor is there a shortage of water in Southern California.
All California has to do is turn the valve coming back from and down from the Pacific Northwest.
MWD amassed 3.8 million acre-feet of water in storage over the past two years during heavy rainfalls.
