"A Cabazon husband and wife were each charged with murder on Tuesday, Aug. 26, accused of killing their 7-month-old son Emmanuel, whose body has not been found during an ongoing search that has made headlines nationwide for almost two weeks. Jake Haro, 32, and Rebecca Haro, 41, were also each charged with filing a false police report, a misdemeanor. Hours later, the Haros made their first court appearance in the case at the Riverside County Hall of Justice."

Jake Haro, 32, and Rebecca Haro, 41, were arrested on Aug. 22 and charged with murder and filing a false police report in connection with the disappearance of their 7-month-old son, Emmanuel. Emmanuel's body has not been found and an ongoing search has drawn national attention. The mother reported the child was kidnapped on Aug. 14 in Yucaipa. The Haros made their first court appearance on Aug. 26 at the Riverside County Hall of Justice, where they were seated far apart and wore jail jumpsuits indicating different custody statuses. The arraignment was continued to Sept. 4. Signs demanding justice appeared outside the parents' home.
