The bicyclist sustained a major head injury, was wearing a helmet, and was transported to a hospital where he later died. The driver, a person in their 90s, remained at the scene and cooperated. The Santa Clara County Medical Examiner-Coroner will release the victim's identity after confirmation and next-of-kin notification. Police do not believe drugs or alcohol were involved; the cause remains under investigation.
