A bicyclist died after a collision with a pickup truck at the intersection of Highway 35 and Highway 84 (Four Corners) in Woodside on Friday afternoon. Emergency teams — the Sheriff's Office, Cal Fire, American Medical Response and Life Flight — responded around 4:30 p.m., provided on-scene aid, and airlifted the bicyclist to Stanford Medical Center while alive but in critical condition. The bicyclist succumbed to injuries on Saturday. The Santa Clara County Coroner's Office will release the victim's identity pending identification and notification of next of kin. The San Mateo County Major Accident Investigation Team is investigating; the pickup driver is cooperating. Anyone with information should contact the Sheriff's Office at 650-363-4911.
