
"BONNY DOON - Search and rescue teams discovered a body in Bonny Doon while searching for an at-risk elderly woman that has been missing for two months. According to a release Tuesday from the Santa Cruz County Sheriff's Office, the body was discovered Sunday within a densely wooded area near Ice Cream Grade and Moore Ranch Road, which is within the identified search zone for 73-year-old Jeanne Burke."
"The Sheriff's Office noted that the coroner's unit has not yet determined the identity of the recovered individual and additional information will be released as it becomes available. Burke went missing Nov. 18, 2025, which prompted local and state authorities to mobilize a sweeping search effort that canvassed the Santa Cruz Mountains and San Lorenzo Valley region for weeks."
