
"Two children were killed in a Christmas Day crash on Interstate 5 on the Grapevine, officials said. The crash happened just before 3 p.m. on the northbound side of the highway, south of Vista Del Lago Road in Lebec, California Highway Patrol said in a news release. CHP said a Toyota RAV4 was stopped in the center median of the highway when the driver of a Nissan Rogue lost control of the car for an "unknown reason," crashing into the Toyota."
"After the Rogue crashed into the back of the Toyota, three children were ejected from the Nissan, CHP said. Two of the children received medical attention at the scene but died from their injuries. The driver of the Nissan was arrested at the scene on suspicion of child endangerment, CHP said. Six other people were also taken to the hospital, three who had minor injuries and three who were checked out as a precaution, Pauline McGee, a spokesperson for the Los Angeles County Fire Department,"
