Two people were killed and another person was injured in a crash on Pacific Coast Highway on Thursday evening, according to authorities. The Ventura County Fire Department was dispatched around 6:57 p.m. along with the Oxnard Fire Department and Federal Fire Ventura County to a traffic collision near the 9000 block of Pacific Coast Highway, according to Ventura County Fire Department spokesperson Andrew Dowd.
Stoneham police are investigating a crash that occurred Friday afternoon and claimed the life of a child. At about 4:30 p.m., a 73-year-old driver was turning left off of Oak Street onto Royal Street when an electric dirt bike struck his car, according to the Middlesex District Attorney's Office and Stoneham Police Chief James O'Connor. The 13-year-old boy who was riding the dirt bike was taken to Massachusetts General Hospital, where he was pronounced dead, according to officials.
A driver and her passenger were seriously injured Tuesday and two dogs in their vehicle ultimately died after their minivan crashed into a concrete barrier at the F.E. Everett Turnpike toll plaza in Bedford, New Hampshire. The crash occurred shortly after 9 a.m. as Cheryl North, 76, of Manchester, was driving a 2023 Chrysler Pacifica south on the highway and veered before hitting the barrier, according to New Hampshire State Police.
A drunken driver struck and killed an e-bike rider in Melville early Saturday morning, according to the Suffolk County Police Department. Jennifer Kirkpatrick, 24, was driving south on Bagatelle Road in a 2018 Subaru Forester just after 1 a.m. when she attempted to make a left turn onto eastbound Express Drive South and collided with Joseph Melendez, 28, of Wyandanch, who was riding a "Razor fly-wing e-bike" northbound, according to police.
A box truck slammed into a parked van in Manhattan on Monday afternoon, sending the van onto the sidewalk where it struck a group of pedestrians, leaving one person critically injured, according to the NYPD. The truck was heading north on Eighth Avenue when it hit the unoccupied van near West 30th Street around 4 p.m., police said. The force of the crash pushed the van over the curb and into a crowd of people on the sidewalk.
SAN MATEO COUNTY, Calif. (KGO) -- Several lanes of southbound Highway 280 are closed on Monday because of a crash. SKY7 video showed a California Highway Patrol motorcycle tipped over. It's unclear how many vehicles were involved in the crash. This is happened on Highway 280 just south of Alpine Road around 2:15 p.m., the CHP said. The CHP said for motorists can expect significant delays for the next several hours as we head into the evening rush hour.
