Natural Gas Futures Rise As U.S. Braces For Freezing Weather

"Nationally, spot market demand may soar 25-30 Bcf/d into Tuesday, but the larger risks come from gas production freeze-off risks simultaneously limiting supply," Eli Rubin of EBW Analytics says in a report.
Natural gas for February delivery is up 4.3% at $3.231/mmBtu, adding to yesterday's gains that followed a larger-than-expected 140-Bcf draw on underground storage for the week through Jan. 5.
