Specifically, the study found that over half of businesses that replied cited efficiency and productivity gains as the primary driver for IoT. Just over three-quarters (77%) of enterprises report a clear ROI from IoT investments."
Five hundred IT professionals at US-based multinationals and small and medium-sized enterprises provided feedback on IoT market accelerators (AI), cyber security challenges, and beneficial use cases. Respondents reported clear ROI from IoT investments and cited efficiency and productivity gains as primary drivers. Over three-quarters (77%) of enterprises reported a clear ROI. Deployments of more than 10,000 devices are expected to more than triple by next year. AI emerged as a significant driver alongside rising adoption and enthusiasm. Successful large-scale IoT requires strong network foundations, well-managed IT integration, and external partnerships or expertise.
