There's a lot in productivity that's outside of government's control. It's not just something that government does to the economy; technology and change are also critical.
If I was to pick just a small number of what I think are critically important areas: a sensible approach to climate policy and fixing the housing challenge.
Policies that support the rollout of new technologies are essential. Technological change is crucial for productivity growth, and we need to foster it appropriately.
