A source familiar with the matter told CNBC that among names floated, Harris' orbit has mentioned Dimon for the same Treasury Secretary role during the Democratic National Convention.
In June, Donald Trump indicated he would consider Dimon for the Treasury Secretary position, showing interest from both Republican and Democratic circles.
