IKEA is implementing a temporary CEO overlap as its succession model. Jesper Brodin will remain CEO until November while his Spanish deputy, Juvencio Maeztu, undertakes a listening tour across locations. Maeztu will become the first foreign CEO of IKEA, and Brodin will stay on for a few additional months as senior advisor before leaving.
