Starting today, Google Wallet can carry a digital copy of your US passport, allowing users to use it at TSA checkpoints, enhancing convenience while traveling.
To add your passport to Google Wallet, download the app, log in, follow prompts to create an ID pass, take a video selfie for identity verification.
Your digital passport won't work at every airport yet; currently, 27 states and Puerto Rico have at least one airport that accepts digital IDs.
Google has been testing digital passports in Wallet for some time, and several states now accept digital IDs in both Google Wallet and Apple Wallet.
