He stated that reducing in-house production in the Netherlands plays an essential role in Ebusco's strategy, designed to prioritize sales, design, and engineering strengths. Despite initially planning for a gradual adjustment, the company has opted for a quicker transition to provide clear guidance, demonstrating their dedication to both business needs and employee support.
The decision to decrease the workforce by 16.5%, impacting 102 full-time equivalent positions, is a key part of Ebusco's Turnaround Plan. This plan includes a shift to the Original Equipment Designer model, aiming to streamline operations and shift focus onto design and development while outsourcing production. While the layoffs will mainly affect the production, warehouse, and facility roles, Ebusco has devised a social plan to assist those impacted during this challenging transition.
