Trump Administration to Revoke Legal Status For Some Cubans, Haitians, Nicaraguans And Venezuelans
Briefly

The Trump administration is moving to revoke the legal status of numerous Latin American and Haitian migrants who entered the U.S. through the Biden-era CHNV program. This policy change, affecting over 532,000 migrants, will terminate work permits and deportation protections, with enforcement starting late April. The Department of Homeland Security has announced intentions to pursue deportations for those who do not leave voluntarily within the mandated 30 days, urging use of the CBP Home app for registration. Critics argue the program allowed exploitation and did not adequately vet migrants.
The termination of the CHNV parole programs, and the termination of parole for those who exploited it, is a return to common-sense policies, a return to public safety, and a return to America First.
Officials are urging affected immigrants to use the CBP Home smartphone app to register for self-deportation. The 30-day period doesn't mean that migrants will not be targeted by DHS.
