The victim, a 25-year-old woman, was followed into her Prospect Lefferts Gardens apartment building and choked by an unidentified attacker late Thursday night.
Surveillance video shows the suspect approaching the woman from behind in the building lobby, quickly wrapping his arm around her neck before she fights back and escapes.
Neighbors are left feeling unsafe after the attack, with one stating, 'It makes me think twice about the way I move about the neighborhood and just in general.'
Another neighbor expressed concern, saying, 'There have been a lot of weird things happening in this building. I've been followed in before myself.'
