Terrence Reid, a 43-year-old man from Hempstead, New York, has been arraigned on charges of sex trafficking a child and promoting prostitution. Brooklyn District Attorney Eric Gonzalez announced the indictment on Tuesday.
The investigation revealed that Reid allegedly first contacted the teenage victim on Instagram in early 2022. By May 2023, the situation escalated when Reid, taking advantage of the teenager's challenging home life, picked her up from her aunt's home in Brooklyn. He then brought her and a 26-year-old woman to a hotel in East Orange, New Jersey, where semi-nude photos were taken and posted online for prostitution purposes.
