A 56-year-old man was struck multiple times in the head with a rock during a random attack at the 14th Street and Eighth Avenue subway station in Chelsea.
A witness described the attack as unhinged, stating, 'He took a good shot to the head.' The assailant escaped the scene before police arrived.
After the attack, the victim, who sustained head lacerations, was taken to a local hospital and listed in stable condition following the brutality.
The violent incident happened mere hours after another subway attack, where a 54-year-old man was fatally stabbed on a platform.
