Queens-bound BQE down to one lane at night through June 24
Briefly

The NYC Department of Transportation (DOT) begins milling work on the Brooklyn-Queens Expressway (BQE) from Atlantic Avenue to the Brooklyn Bridge, scheduled to start on June 16 and run weeknights until June 24. This construction aims to enhance traffic flow as the work will temporarily limit lanes to one for Queens-bound traffic. Notably, there will be no work on June 19 in observance of Juneteenth. Commissioner Ydanis Rodriguez emphasized the significance of this project for maintaining crucial infrastructure.
The work will reduce Queens-bound traffic to one lane, intended to improve the infrastructure of one of the busiest roadways in the city.
The BQE is one of the most heavily travelled roadways in our network and it too should benefit from the Adams administration's and NYC DOT's commitment.
