According to police, the victim, a 73-year-old man, was riding a Coney Island-bound F train approaching the York Street stop in DUMBO at around 9:45 a.m. on Feb. 13 when the unprovoked attack occurred.
Without saying a word, law enforcement sources said, an unknown rider approached and then punched the septuagenarian straphanger in the right side of his face, smashing his glasses.
