Open-Air Food Market Smorgasburg Returns to Brooklyn
"As we enter our 16th season, we're constantly inspired by the next generation of food entrepreneurs who see Smorgasburg as a place to share their culture, creativity and ambition. Our vendors are the heartbeat of this market. They represent the diversity, hustle and innovation that define New York's food scene."
"Nearly half of the new vendors are immigrant-founded or rooted in multigenerational family recipes, highlighting the personal stories and traditions behind many of the dishes. From Korean shaved ice and Fuzhounese potato dumplings to Mexico City-style tacos and Colombian grilled meats, the incoming vendors represent cuisines from across the globe."
Smorgasburg, New York City's premier open-air food market, reopens in April for its 16th season with expanded offerings. The market features 74 vendors across Williamsburg (Saturdays) and Prospect Park (Sundays) locations, with 22 new vendors joining established favorites. Nearly half of the new vendors are immigrant-founded or represent multigenerational family recipes. The lineup showcases diverse global cuisines including Korean shaved ice, Fuzhounese potato dumplings, Mexico City-style tacos, Colombian grilled meats, and traditional American fare. The market celebrates New York's dynamic dining scene by blending culinary innovation with cultural traditions.
