Cops arrested a 30-year-old man after he allegedly assaulted a clerk who confronted him about shoplifting a $4 cookie on Valentine's Day.
While felony assaults are down year-to-date in the 84th Precinct - where the not-so-sweet incident occurred - reported robberies are up a whopping 125% from 2023, according to Police Department data.
