Jamar Banks, 52, has been arrested after allegedly stabbing two men in separate subway incidents in Manhattan and the Bronx within the first two days of the new year.
The assaults occurred on January 1 and 2, where Banks engaged the victims in verbal disputes before using a knife to stab them and fleeing the scenes.
Banks, who has a concerning criminal history with at least 87 prior arrests, was charged with first-degree assault, emphasizing the need for caution among officers.
Upon his arrest, Banks possessed a large knife believed to be the weapon used in the two subway stabbings, highlighting the serious nature of his offenses.
