Gov. Kathy Hochul announced that three Workforce Investment Organizations will receive up to $646 million to implement the Career Pathways Training Program in New York.
The program aims to recruit and train thousands of new health, mental health, and social care workers while providing advancement opportunities for current workers.
The awarded organizations, including the 1199SEIU Training and Employment Funds, will provide outreach, academic support, and job readiness resources for CPT program participants.
Furthermore, partnerships with educational institutions and stakeholders will help expand career opportunities for participants in the Career Pathways Training Program.
