Next Gen Mental Health Advocates Blossom in Brownsville

For the past several months, young adults aged 16 to 24 gathered twice a week to learn about caring for themselves and their mental health in the B-Well program, a result of a $50,000 grant from the city Civic Engagement Commission's Participatory Budgeting Process.
The program's focus was to help students think about mental health on personal and community levels, making correlations with Brownsville's economic stats, and promoting advocacy using trauma-informed practices.
