In the early hours of Friday, April 11, a shooting in Bushwick left a 38-year-old man dead. Authorities responded to a 911 call around 1:19 a.m. at Pilling Street and Broadway, where they found the victim with a severe abdominal gunshot wound. Despite immediate medical attention, he was pronounced dead at Brookdale University Hospital shortly thereafter. The identity of the victim has not been disclosed pending family notification.
