Richard Reed, 35, was shot in the chest multiple times Sunday about 10 p.m. in the lobby of a Farragut Houses building on Sands Street near Navy Street, according to the NYPD.
In 2022, another man was shot multiple times in front of the same building - and the suspected shooter died of a cardiac incident, according to the New York Post.
