Man, 42, shot on Brooklyn street near Prospect Park, but keeps his cool
""I came out and he was lying on his side, shot twice, bleeding," a witness said. "Everyone was screaming and panicking.""
""He was nice and calm," the witness added, "talking on his cell phone to his baby mama. It's crazy.""
On Friday around 8:37 p.m., police responded to a shooting near E. 18th St. and Church Ave. in Flatbush, Brooklyn, blocks from Prospect Park. A 42-year-old man suffered gunshot wounds to the leg and abdomen. A witness described finding the victim lying on his side after being shot twice while bystanders panicked. Witnesses said the victim remained calm and was speaking on his cell phone. EMS transported the victim to Kings County Hospital where he was listed in stable condition. Police believe the victim was the intended target because the shooter walked directly up and fired. No arrests have been made.
