Liberty part of WNBA business boom
Briefly

The New York Liberty averaged 7,777 fans per game at Downtown's Barclays Center last season. Those numbers, albeit impressive, are on their way up in 2024. New York, which welcomed 5,326 fans for their home dates in 2022, not only brought in a "Super Team" to chase the first WNBA championship in franchise history in 2023, they also reached the Finals for the first time since 2002.
New York City's most populous borough, Brooklyn, is home to nearly 2.6 million residents. If Brooklyn were an independent city it would be the fourth largest city in the United States. While Brooklyn has become the epitome of 'cool and hip' in recent years, for those that were born here, raised families here and improved communities over the years, Brooklyn has never been 'uncool'.
