Air travel is set to reach new heights this Labor Day weekend, with over 17 million travelers expected at U.S. airports, marking an 8.5% increase from last year.
United Airlines is preparing for its busiest Labor Day weekend ever, forecasting 2.9 million passengers, with Friday, Aug. 30, to be the peak travel day.
American Airlines is also predicting a record Labor Day, anticipating over 3.8 million customers from Aug. 29 to Sept. 3, which is a 14% increase over last year.
Road travel will peak on Monday, Sept. 2, with the worst traffic expected from 11 a.m. to 8 p.m., according to INRIX analysis.
