A three-alarm fire erupted at a three-story home at 190 New York Ave in Crown Heights at around 5 p.m. on Nov. 12. FDNY units from the 38 Battalion encountered heavy smoke showing from the second floor. The fire extended to the third floor via an interior wall and spread through the roof. Fire Department personnel deployed five hose lines and knocked down the main body of fire from the interior. Searches of the building found no occupants. Fire control was achieved at 6:25 p.m. No injuries were reported and Fire Marshals are investigating the cause.
