A man pretending to be a plumber gained access to a 71-year-old woman's home in Brooklyn on the Fourth of July. He offered to help her with her walker and then knocked on her door claiming to fix a water leak. Inside, he had her turn the water on and off while he stole $230 from her purse and about $900 in jewelry. He left the scene unnoticed, last seen walking south down Fourth Avenue. The victim was unharmed but felt too scared to speak on camera.
