Earthquake in New Jersey Rattles Brooklyn

The earthquake, measuring 4.7 magnitude and lasting 20 seconds, hit seven kilometers northeast of Whitehouse Station, N.J. around 10:23 am.
Vibrations from the quake, which happened about 50 miles west of New York City, was felt all over the greater metropolitan area.
The New York City Mayor's Office said there were no reports of major impact at this time... stay indoors and report any injuries to 911.
Governor Kathy Hochul said her team is assessing the impact and damage... will update the public throughout the day.
