Danny Meyer's restaurant group heads to Brooklyn for the first time ever

Union Square Hospitality Group will open its first full-service restaurant in Brooklyn in 2028 at 98 Montague Street. The restaurant will occupy the ground floor of the former Hotel Bossert, a building currently being restored and converted into apartments. The concept will cover about 3,200 square feet along Montague Street in Brooklyn Heights. Details about the menu, chef, and overall concept are not yet available. The group plans to build on the Bossert’s history as a dining destination for celebrations and neighborhood gatherings. The Bossert was constructed in 1909 and was once known as the “Waldorf-Astoria of Brooklyn,” hosting celebrities and major events, including the Brooklyn Dodgers’ 1955 World Series celebration.
