Police shot and wounded a suspect who waved a knife at officers during a response to a call inside a Bronx apartment building Sunday evening.
The suspect sustained at least two gunshot wounds around 5:45 p.m. and is expected to survive, according to law enforcement sources.
This incident follows another police shooting in Brooklyn, where a 50-year-old man was shot after allegedly pointing a gun at an NYPD sergeant.
