City Agencies Asked to Review Land for Potential Housing Development
Briefly

The Adams administration is using every possible tool available to deliver the affordable housing that New Yorkers need, as the city faces a generational affordable housing crisis with a 1.4% rental vacancy rate.
Today's executive order will ensure that if there's any city-controlled land with the potential for affordable housing development, we will act immediately to fulfill our housing pledge for 500,000 units.
The City Housing Activation Task Force will review city-owned land to identify potential housing sites and develop guidelines to fully support housing production across all agencies.
