Bushwick man heads to prison after viciously slashing stranger with a knife

In June 2022, Michael Ruiz threatened a man outside his apartment, fetched a knife, and attacked both the victim and a bystander who intervened.

Ruiz approached the victim saying, 'I own this block,' escalating to violence with a knife and leading to severe injuries requiring 15 stitches.
